iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus went through a whole lot of crazy experiments right after they released. Here’s a sum of some selected ones.
We got to witness a number of experiments online and that made us believe there really are all kinds of people in this world. And apparently, viewers found them quite amusing (at least some of them). YouTubers and vloggers never step back from going an extra mile to gain as much popularity as they can. It seems the new phone provides them that chance. I find it tough to figure out exactly how these people get ideas so weird. The iPhone 7 has been the new target for a long while now
The entertainment industry, like most other ones, has throat-slitting competition. It has a ‘shape up or ship out’ rule, which fairly easily pressurizes its people to grind and present something new. However, something new soon turned into something really bizarre. These have lately been inviting comments like “If you have so many iPhones to waste why don’t you just give me one instead?”. At least someone has got a proper rationale over here.
iPhone 7 vs Train
Yes, you read that right. People have actually crushed their brand new iPhone 7 under a running train naming the video “iPhone 7 vs Train”. Seriously? Did the guy who uploaded the video read what he was naming the video, stopped, and thought ‘What on Earth am I doing right now?’ An iPhone is relatively less strong than smartphones of some other brand. It will probably break even if someone drops it from a park bench.
The video’s description says, FIRST iPhone 7 Crash Test / Destruction on YouTube?? That how to destroy an iPhone 7 haha. I hope you like this crazy stuff and please don´t try this by yourself!
Well, of course, no one is as stupid as you to try that by themselves. The YouTuber has performed the same experiment on iPhone 6S as well. Apple products costing an arm and a leg being crushed under a running train just for views.
Wrap the phone in jello and throw it off the balcony?
About two weeks ago, a vlogger froze his iPhone 7 along with jello and threw it off from a building 300 Feet high. People need to understand that there are many other, more sophisticated and reasonable ways to test a phone’s durability than covering it in frozen jello or coke and throwing the off certain heights. Moreover, the iPhone used is not even an iPhone 7 as the video claims it to be. It is an iPhone 4 and viewers certainly have been making rude comments about the fact.
Here’s the video and I would suggest jumping directly to 9:03 to get to the point (depends if you want to).
The video has received more than a million views till now.
How to properly grind an iPhone
This ‘experiment’ was done on an iPhone 6 instead. It just did not make sense to leave it out of the list. You really can find tutorials of anything on the Internet. Baking a chocolate cake, doing your hair, destroying your iPhone, anything. Apparently, the guy did it with the intention of tweaking the design according to how he wanted it to be.
The description says, “Want to smooth out your iPhone 6 edges and leave it with a fresh clean new design? Well, you may just want to try this method…or not.”
Of course..not. the guy was giving off instructions as though he expected people to use a dangerous tool to trim their iPhones off. When you see the video, it doesn’t really seem to be a prank video when it comes to his tone. TechRax is known for its stupid iPhone experiments and this one was just completely pointless like every other one as well.
Nevertheless, the video has received more than 26M views.
iPhone 7 Coca-Cola Experiment
If you or someone else shoves an iPhone 7 in soft drinks for a day and accidentally leaves it to freeze, will it work after all the suffering? That is what the TechRax video is about. However, it seems very unlikely that someone would freeze your iPhone in a soda can for a day, doesn’t it? Four iPhone 7’s meet 4 different soda flavors. Which will be victorious and survive in the ultimate 24-hour liquid durability test?
The description says, “Four iPhone 7’s meet 4 different soda flavors. Which will be victorious and survive in the ultimate 24-hour liquid durability test?”
The video received more than 750K views and is still in talks throughout the social media.
Not to mention the famous Burj Khalifa drop experiment. Yes, a vlogger dropped an iPhone 7 Plus off the tallest building in the entire world and expected it to survive. Everything from crazy scratch tests and drilling the screen ‘experiments’ have now been done on the new iPhone. I even heard someone boiled their iPhone 7 in white hot molten crayon to test whether the phone would survive it.
And the iPhone 3.5 mm headphone jack experiment. iPhone 7 owners were suggested to drill down their brand new phones to create an earphone jack in order to listen to music from iTunes store and not spend a fortune on Apple wireless Airpods.
